NexWatch and Recognition Source Announce
Strategic Partnership

NexWatch and Recognition Source’s integrate products to provide a cost-saving wireless access control solution.

ST. CHARLES, IL (February 18, 2002) – NexWatch, a subsidiary of Honeywell International [NYSE: HON] and a leader in access control and security management systems, announced today that they have entered into a partnership with Recognition Source, LLC to provide wireless solutions for its access control systems.  Recognition Source is the world’s leader in wireless solutions for access control applications.  Its products are sold under the Wireless Access brand.  These wireless solutions will help NexWatch customers reduce installation time by as much as 80% while offering a system that is more secure than most wired systems.

NexWatch has taken its Star Series Controllers and the Wireless Access product line to the next level in system integration.  By developing a direct RS485 interconnect to the Wireless Access Panel Interface Module (PIM), the number of PIMs required is reduced by a factor of 8.

“This substantially reduces the cost per door,” explained Fred Conforti, president of Recognition Source.  “It makes Wireless Access affordable at every access point in a system – doors, elevators and gates.”  NexWatch is the first system to have such capability.
